C.L. Gage
For the office of AU Southwest Zone Director
C. L. Gage has thrown his hat in the ring for the AU Southwest Zone Director. He is 74 years old, born in Decatur Texas
and he has lived there all his life. He and his wife, Patti, have two children and five grandchildren.
C. L. has had pigeons all his life. Like most pigeon men, he started out catching barn pigeons, trading them around for
fancy breeds, and eventually he wound up in the racing sport.
After high school and four years in the Military, he returned home in 1970. He met Red Herzer and got schooled in the art
of pigeon racing. He became a member of the Denton-Wise Racing Pigeon Club and is still a current member.
He and his wife are also active members of the Texas Center of Racing Pigeons, where they are involved with the Scholarship Fund and conventions.
C.L. currently flies under Lone Star Loft. For the past ten years he and his wife hosted the Texas Shootout OLR. He has listened
to flyers from all over the Southwest and he believes he knows what they want from their governing body.
He believes in full transparency to AU members.
If elected, C.L. pledges to do his best to keep AU members informed about all AU matters and inform the AU Board what the members of the Southwest Zone expect from the governing organization.
