Terry Finnerty
For the office of AU President
Terry Finnerty was born in Newbury, Ohio and has been flying pigeons since the age of 12. He learned pigeon racing from his father, Farrell, and as a second-generation flyer.
Terry currently lives in Seven Hills, Ohio and by day he is part owner and the Vice president of Client relations for Physicians Ambulance. As a business owner and his realm in company operations, he understands the importance of sound decisions, managing budgets and marketing to retention and new business. These are elements he intends to bring to the American Racing Pigeon Union.
As a pigeon racer, Terry has achieved his personal goals, winning 100–500-mile races and developing a family of birds he truly enjoys cultivating. He is currently serving AU members as the Lakes Zone Director, and he has held multiple offices in the clubs he belonged to, including President of the Invitational Pigeon Racing club, President of the Ohio Penn Federation, Race Secretary for the IRPC, the OPF and the Independent Homing Club, Secretary Treasurer for Original City, the IRC and the OCH Club and IHC and IRPC.
As AU President, Terry's focus will center around sport promotion, retention and technology. He believes the key to the sport's continued growth and success are communication, transparency and constant evaluation.
